Style Favorites: Maternity Edition

I'm currently 7 weeks postpartum and cleared to start getting back to "normal" activity. It seems like enough time to have had a look at what I wore during my pregnancy and to know what I really liked and what didn't work for me.  I showed really late, I was probably around 25-26 weeks before I had a bump that took me out of my normal clothes and even then I was still fairly small. Because of that I didn't really invest in maternity clothing. By the time I got to the point where things didn't fit or I didn't like how they fit I was less than 10 weeks from my due date. That said, we had 3 weddings to attend this year and my baby shower. I also worked until I went into labor, which was luckily a Sunday, so I did have to dress myself until the end. Another disclaimer, I was able to have a relaxed wardrobe for work which also kept me from buying more maternity wear and using what I had in my closet. Call It a Comeback



So I don't know how many of you have been here recently but not much has been going on. On the blog at least tons has been happening in my life. I think since I last posted my boyfriend graduated, we went from deciding to move in together imminently to the end of summer, I changed jobs, he's recently moved home for the summer and just LIFE! In one respect I haven't been posting on here just because of time and lack of it. But also I've been trying to make sense of what I want this to be. I think what's been stopping me has been my perception of what it's "supposed" to be. That it has to be one specific thing. That it's meant to be how other blogs, or fashion blogs, are. My last post was about my struggle with that idea in my head but now I've decided to do what I want. I want to continue sharing what I love and what inspires me with all of you and I don't think I've been truly doing that and I plan to do more of it. Hopefully you'll all enjoy it because really I just want to share my truth, I can't really think of another way to explain it but I hope it becomes clear.
