Style Favorites: Maternity Edition

I'm currently 7 weeks postpartum and cleared to start getting back to "normal" activity. It seems like enough time to have had a look at what I wore during my pregnancy and to know what I really liked and what didn't work for me.  I showed really late, I was probably around 25-26 weeks before I had a bump that took me out of my normal clothes and even then I was still fairly small. Because of that I didn't really invest in maternity clothing. By the time I got to the point where things didn't fit or I didn't like how they fit I was less than 10 weeks from my due date. That said, we had 3 weddings to attend this year and my baby shower. I also worked until I went into labor, which was luckily a Sunday, so I did have to dress myself until the end. Another disclaimer, I was able to have a relaxed wardrobe for work which also kept me from buying more maternity wear and using what I had in my closet. My first favorite: Black Blanqi Maternity Leggings . I was re

Jelly Time

So I've just finished up my senior collection show as of last thursday and I've been procrastinating putting up my post about all of that but I swear its happening. But more importantly in my opinion is the Foot wear. I spent weeks trying to decide the right foot wear, source and price something that would work. After not having enough time to buy my first choice pair I found, in my opinion the ultimate alternate. Having spent most of my childhood in the 90s (I was born in '92) jellies were a huge part of summer wardrobe. I don't know why but I have a very distinctive memory of a purple and glitter pair, I loved them so much I had them at least two years in a row. These babies aren't purple or glittery but they're a fun and a bit more grown up. That said I for see myself snagging some more glittery and colorful pairs before the summer's out. I had to buy a bunch for my show so I got them from Go Jane, where the black seems to be sold out currently, and Tilly's, their stock is also running low. They were on sale on both sites I had seen them on Charlotte Russe but were only available in the flat style when I was writing this post. If you don't feel like spending upwards of $40 for the JuJu Jellies than these are a good try. I've only worn them twice so far, the first wear definitely felt like they were cutting into my feet but didn't seem to leave any marks. I wore them with socks for a bit and that felt way more comfortable so I might be investing in some cute socks to wear with them as well. Currently loving though and I've been DYING to share!!
