Style Favorites: Maternity Edition

I'm currently 7 weeks postpartum and cleared to start getting back to "normal" activity. It seems like enough time to have had a look at what I wore during my pregnancy and to know what I really liked and what didn't work for me.  I showed really late, I was probably around 25-26 weeks before I had a bump that took me out of my normal clothes and even then I was still fairly small. Because of that I didn't really invest in maternity clothing. By the time I got to the point where things didn't fit or I didn't like how they fit I was less than 10 weeks from my due date. That said, we had 3 weddings to attend this year and my baby shower. I also worked until I went into labor, which was luckily a Sunday, so I did have to dress myself until the end. Another disclaimer, I was able to have a relaxed wardrobe for work which also kept me from buying more maternity wear and using what I had in my closet. Birthday Haul Part 2


So It's been around 3 weeks since my 22nd birthday and I've been holding out on this post. I had some $$ still to spend so I wanted to get everything before I put this up. After a few repeat trips to Forever 21, H&M and a trip to Ulta I'm glad to say the birthday haul is officially done. I was meant to be taking a quick trip down to the shore but had to change my plans last minute. After picking up a few new bikini tops. Here's a quick run through of some of my extra bits!

I've been wearing this cropped lightweight sweatshirt and button skirt from H&M together they're a cute relaxed pairing. I love the little 90s style print on the skirt and the crop is super soft and I love wearing it. They'll definitely continue to get a lot of wear this summer.
I have been hunting for the Nirvana smiley face tees and have yet to get my hands on one but I did pick up this vintage style concert tee at Forever 21. Not what I was looking for but the fabric is pretty soft it's nicely over sized (I got it in a medium) and goes well for a low key day.
I picked up these bikini top to spruce up my bikini collection which is heavily reliant on my favorite floral triangle tie bikini from American Apparel. I picked mine up about 4 years ago and still love it. But I thought these two would make a fun and good addition to go with my all black tie bottoms that currently don't get much use.
I haven't happened to pick up my full sized Ulta gift so that's a bummer I can't believe my birthday was a month ago! :( But I have some hopefully good news coming soon so as soon as that's for sure I'll be squealing from the rooftops to let you know!!
