Style Favorites: Maternity Edition

I'm currently 7 weeks postpartum and cleared to start getting back to "normal" activity. It seems like enough time to have had a look at what I wore during my pregnancy and to know what I really liked and what didn't work for me.  I showed really late, I was probably around 25-26 weeks before I had a bump that took me out of my normal clothes and even then I was still fairly small. Because of that I didn't really invest in maternity clothing. By the time I got to the point where things didn't fit or I didn't like how they fit I was less than 10 weeks from my due date. That said, we had 3 weddings to attend this year and my baby shower. I also worked until I went into labor, which was luckily a Sunday, so I did have to dress myself until the end. Another disclaimer, I was able to have a relaxed wardrobe for work which also kept me from buying more maternity wear and using what I had in my closet. Say a Little Prayer....

BEHOLD! I've found the answer! and I'm honestly not being dramatic in the least. Later this year I'll be partaking in my thesis fashion show, for which I'll have 8 girls to dress, style, and make up. The worst of it being the money we have to spend just to get them dressed down the runway. I've already had some styling ideas that were causing me stress (namely wigs. If anyone knows of a cheap place to buy wigs please let me know, they only need to last for around 5 minutes) and I've recently come upon a potential answer to my troubles. I was watching a video by Georgia Caney aka The Vintage Vision, she's pretty cute in case you haven't checked her out great oversized glasses, where she showed off a pair of chunky platform boots she got from a site called DressLink. I immediately clicked over and spent the next probably half hour perusing their wears and locating several things she mentioned for myself. Most importantly to say, everything is SUPER cheap!! When I say cheap I mean $5 sweaters and $10 boots. REALLY. I could die!! I was definitely sold when I spotted this sweater (almost said jumper I've been watching too many brits!) that I've been eying for literally a year on SheInside that's nearly $30 on their site and just $5 on DressLink! I'll be keeping my eyes peeled as my collection comes nearer.
