Style Favorites: Maternity Edition

I'm currently 7 weeks postpartum and cleared to start getting back to "normal" activity. It seems like enough time to have had a look at what I wore during my pregnancy and to know what I really liked and what didn't work for me.  I showed really late, I was probably around 25-26 weeks before I had a bump that took me out of my normal clothes and even then I was still fairly small. Because of that I didn't really invest in maternity clothing. By the time I got to the point where things didn't fit or I didn't like how they fit I was less than 10 weeks from my due date. That said, we had 3 weddings to attend this year and my baby shower. I also worked until I went into labor, which was luckily a Sunday, so I did have to dress myself until the end. Another disclaimer, I was able to have a relaxed wardrobe for work which also kept me from buying more maternity wear and using what I had in my closet. My first favorite: Black Blanqi Maternity Leggings . I was re

The Skin We're In

So I was taking these Fish Oil pills for a few months I think, they were supposed to help with hair growth or something, I saw someone mention it in a YouTube video I watched but I forget which so I can't link it. I checked them out at the CVS and decided to give them a try. So I noticed my skin got super clear and pretty even and wasn't having my normal occasional break outs and any I had were less severe. I ran out while I was on winter break and didn't bother buying any more and I noticed almost immediately MORE BREAK OUTS! I hadn't really thought it was making that big of an effect but there was clearly something happening with my skin. On the bottle it claims to help with skin health among other things so I guess for me it was really pulling it's weight. I had been taking hair, skin and nails vitamins too but I never really notice much of a difference. My hair has been growing pretty steadily since I cut it which I think is in part due to less chemical damage, as well as having cut off any unhealthy hair. I'll take a month to decide if they had any impact I suppose before I start using them again. I also picked up a bottle of vitamin E while I was getting my Fish Oils again so I guess I'll see if that combination changes anything. Also just out of curiosity I picked up a mini Lumene Pure Radiance Day Cream Vitamin C+ with Arctic Cloudberry and SPF 15.

It came in a cute little jar so I was intrigued but mostly because it gave me a chance to try out a different moisturizer as my current one is nearly empty that is a bit heavier and may work better for winter. I have some sort of acne scars which it would be great if this stuff could help clear up. I also got some Burt's Bees White Tea facial cleansing wipes. They say they cleanse and tone in one step so hopefully I'll use them after a night out and look nice and fresh in the morning. Looking forward to an update!
